It is with the greatest heartbreak that our family shares the news that we have unexpectedly lost one of the best men present in each of our lives, Ed Smith. My dad passed away over the weekend, surrounded and supported by his loved ones. His impact and legacy of mentorship, of constant learning, of attentive listening, and of unwavering love will be forever remembered and kept alive by his family and friends.

Remembrance services for Ed will occur on June 27th and 28th. Services open to Ed’s lifetime of friends, family, and colleagues include visitation at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood 4:00 – 8:00pm Friday, June 27th, as well as 9:00am visitation & 10:00am funeral mass at St. Peter’s in Kirkwood and burial at Resurrection Cemetery on the morning of Saturday, June 28th. The family requests you join them after the burial to all raise a glass to Ed’s life well lived.

Donations to Forest Park Forever in honor of Edward J Smith are encouraged in lieu of flowers. Condolence cards can be sent to Bopp Funeral Home.

Take it easy, Dad. Love you always.
